The Guelph Contemporary Dance Festival is so pleased to commence its exciting 2011-12 season by supporting one of its own! GCDF Co-Artistic Director Janet Johnson and her newly founded dance collective, Portal Dance Projects, will present This Side of Light as our Offsite Series performance.

This Side of Light is an intimate full-length work by Ms. Johnson inspired by the role that light plays in our lives. The inaugural production for Portal Dance Projects, it features dance artists Robert Kingsbury, Susan Lee, Lisa Prebianca, Lynette Segel, Kelly Steadman and Tanya Williams, and is highlighted by the music of James Gordon with musical accompaniment by Louisa Kratka. Innovatively staged inside Guelph’s historic Goldie Mill, This Side of Light is sure to delight and inspire audiences of all ages. Be sure to bring your own blanket and mug; hot cider will be served!
Tickets are only $15 and can be purchased at the door or the GCDF office, 123 Woolwich Street, Guelph. Children under 12 are free. For more information, contact the GCDF at (519) 780-2220 or catrinavonradecki@gmail.com. Photos by Dakota Burpee.
