Guelph Symphony Orchestra
The GSO will celebrate the Music of Love and Romance on Valentine’s Day, Sunday February 14, 3:00 pm at Guelph’s River Run Centre. Mozart’s Elvira Madigan Concerto, the Warsaw Concerto, favourite tunes from South Pacific, and songs by Sigmund Romberg, performed by soprano Mary DuQuesnay. The timeless story of Romeo and Juliet
will be presented and interpreted by the magnetic Clayton Scott, with thrilling and emotional music by Prokofiev. With guest conductor Judith Yan of the National Ballet.
"Clayton Scott’s interpretation of Prokofiev’s ballet music will be of particular interest to students and lovers of dance" says Simon Irving, Artistic Director of the GSO. “She has enthralling ability to dramatically present the plot, revealing the humanity of the characters.” Please visit guelphorchestra.ca and claytonscottmusic.com

The dance is strong magic. The dance is a spirit. It turns the body to liquid steel. It makes it vibrate like a guitar. The body can fly without wings. It can sing without voice. The dance is strong magic. The dance is life.
