The GCDF is excited to announce that this year’s festival will include our friends from the Guelph Fab 5, a collective of five area arts festivals that, like ours, believe in cutting-edge, consciousness-raising performances.
So, when you’re In The Park listen for Hillside’s feisty drummers. When you’re at the Gala on Friday, listen to the lilting rhythms of Alison Pick, the Eden Mills Writers’ Festival
poet who will open our River Run Centre performance. When you’re at the Gala reception, look for the Festival of Moving Media’s sumptuous film screened on the expansive white walls of the lobby. When you’re at the In The Street
performance on Friday at noon, listen to the Guelph Jazz Festival’s public jam session—and bring your instruments (voices, bodies, tubas!) to join in the improvised creation of sweet music and dance.
